Olga Herrera Author and Illustrator.

About me

Hello, thank you for visiting my website.

My name is Olga Herrera. I am an Author and Illustrator of children's books. I earned my bachelor's of Fine Arts from the Ringling College of Art and Design with a major in Illustration, graduating with honors in 2003.

I am a member of the SCBWI. And have the honor of being the winner of the Regional Conference logo competition for two consecutive years (MD/DE/WV 2019 & 2020).

I am also the co-host of ILLOCHAT a podcast about the journey of professional illustration.

Besides creating my own content, I also teach illustration, both in traditional and digital techniques and offer mentorships and portfolio reviews.

I am bilingual and enjoy the mixture of my Cuban and Ecuadorian cultural roots. I grew up in Ecuador, a beautifully diverse country that is close to my heart. As a Florida native, I traded year round summers for the fun of experiencing every season. I now live in the picturesque state of Maryland. With my husband, two children, and too many pets.

You can find more illustrations and see what projects I am working on by following me on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.

I am represented by Natalie Lakosil - Bradford Literary Agency! For publishing/illustration enquiries please contact natalie@bradfordlit.com
